LEMA is the laboratory where the experimental activity of the research group of "Converters, drives and electrical machines"' is carried out. The laboratory occupies an area of about 250 m2 at the ground floor of the DIE, and is mainly targeted to experimental developments in the following research fields:

People working at LEMA have skills in the fields of Electrical machines and drives, but also good knowledge in the many others fields like: analogue and digital electronics, control system, information technology, electric system, electric and electronic measurement systems. In the laboratory high level systems, instruments and equipments are available to researchers and students to assist their activities. The laboratory equipments, together with the skills of the staff, are available for services to the industries in the area of electrical drives and machines.
